# Set up Google Search Console

To set up Google Search Console:

1. Log in with your Google Account and go to https://search.google.com/search-console/

2. Click on **Add new property**, select **URL prefix** as your property type (this way the verification will take less time), and add your website URL.

3. Verify your ownership by adding a meta tag to your website.

4. Copy the meta tag you see and go to your SpreadSimple dashboard.

5. Open the `Settings` tab and paste the code in the "Head" text area. Save the changes

6. After your ownership is verified, you are ready to start working in your Search Console!
