# Setting up Cookies banner

A cookie banner (popup) is a block that pops up on top of your website and warns your site visitors of the cookies usage.

To enable the Cookies banner on your website, go to your Add-ons Tab -> Privacy and switch on the **Enable** toggle.

Then you can customize the text on your cookies banner. 

The text area supports [Markdown](https://www.markdownguide.org/basic-syntax/) which means that you can format your text, add hyperlinks, for example, you can add the link to your Privacy Policy, your small logo, etc.
