Setting up Calendar View

In this help article, we are going to share the instructions on how to set up the calendar view and display your data on a calendar.

Prepare the Dates

In your source website Google Sheets, create a new column and give it a name (e.g., "Date").

Fill this column with dates.

Format your column as Date. To do that, select the column, then go to the Format menu -> Number -> Date

Make sure the column is properly formatted as Date. Otherwise, the system won’t recognize the values, and your events will not be displayed on the calendar.

Set up Calendar view

In the website editor (Manage options), go to the Content Tab -> Calendar view.

Switch on the Calendar view toggle:

In the Date column dropdown menu, select your column that contains the formatted dates.

Select the default view you want to display on the main page: either the list of events or the calendar.

Your website visitors will be able to switch between these two views by clicking on the corresponding buttons on the main page.

And save the changes.

Now, your data will be displayed on the calendar. Visitors will be able to learn more about an item by clicking on it within the calendar to open the preview.

Display time

Additionaly, you can display the time when each event starts on the calendar.

To do that, go to your Google Sheet, select column with dates and change its format to Date time (go to the Format menu -> Number -> Date time)

Once this is done, the calendar will display the time for each event.

Change color of the events on the calendar

At the moment, the color of the events on the calendar matches the color of the primary button.

To change the color of the items on calendar, go to the Content Tab -> Primary button settings:

This will change the color of both the primary button and the calendar items.
